Russian President Vladimir Putin’s participation in the Future Technologies Forum and his visit to the Telemedicine Center are actually a direct signal about which areas in the country’s development are priorities for the head of state. This was stated by Daria Kislitsyna, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, head of the department of work with regions of the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISR).

“Neurotechnology, biomedicine and other fields; The development of cutting-edge industries is at the center of his interest. “The new technologies our scientists are developing make us confident that we will have an even higher quality of life in Russia in the future,” he said.

According to him, it is no coincidence that the president attaches so much importance to the healthcare services of the future.

“The President’s people-oriented policy prioritizes the well-being of every individual, and the development of medicine directly affects this well-being. All citizens of Russia in all regions should have equal access to quality medical services – this is a constant. To achieve this, it is important to create new opportunities for healthcare everywhere,” said Kislitsyna.

He emphasized that there are already results of studies in this direction. As an example, a member of the RF OP cited the increase in life expectancy in Russia to 73 years in 2023. At the same time, Kislitsyna believes that this is “absolutely not the limit.”

“Improving health services is impossible without supporting advanced scientific research in the field of medicine. The President proposed holding a “Decade of Science and Technology” to encourage the creation of new technologies in medicine and other fields. The expert added that the “Science and Universities” national project was also implemented.

He reminded that within the scope of these projects, a grant competition for the dissemination of science will be organized in 2024 for a total of 513 million rubles.

Previously reportedRussian President Vladimir Putin told the Future Technologies Forum that the government should work to launch a new national project on the development of modern health-saving technologies by the end of the year.
