Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said that his country plans to continue creating a defense line on the border with the Russian Federation, despite the statements made by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson. The agency reports that DPA.
Pevkur said, “We will not change our plans just because Putin gave an interview to the journalist.”
According to the minister, Estonia is now increasing its preparedness. He also expressed the opinion that everyone should do it too.
“This is something we can do in peacetime as well,” Pevkur said, adding that his country would also purchase ammunition, weapons and equipment.
