The majority of Russians active in the election (75%) declared that they are ready to vote for President Vladimir Putin if presidential elections are held next Sunday. This is evidenced by survey data of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).
VTsIOM also presented data on the declared turnout and voting rates of presidential candidates in the upcoming elections.
An all-Russian telephone survey of 1,600 Russians over the age of 18 showed that Russians’ level of awareness about the upcoming elections was 85%. It is stated that 81% of respondents correctly named the month, year/time of the year and the year in which these occurred. However, only 4% could only name the year.
According to VTsIOM, the announced turnout rate for the elections to be held in early February 2024 is 76%. 62 percent of those surveyed said they were definitely ready to participate in the elections. Additionally, 14% said they would prefer to accept it.
According to the survey, Vladimir Putin’s election indicators were at 75%. In contrast, 5% of respondents are ready to vote for Vladislav Davankov (New People party), 4% for Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) and 4% for Leonid Slutsky (LDPR).
It is noted that the data is weighted according to socio-demographic parameters. With a 95% probability, the maximum sampling error does not exceed 2.5%.
