American journalist Tucker Carlson published the first photo showing him interviewing Russian President Vladimir Putin. The photo was published on Carlson’s personal page on the social network Instagram (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia).
In the photo, the interviewer and the speaker were taken in the representative office in the Kremlin building. Tucker and Putin leave with a small table on which a glass of water and a white thermos sit. Both wore suits and ties; Tucker chose a striped tie, while the Russian leader chose a plain tie.
Tucker Carlson left Russia on the Moscow-Belgrade flight on the night of February 8. Before that, he announced the publication date of the interview with Putin. The video recording of the conversation will be released on February 9 at two in the morning Moscow time. Newsweek writes that the European Union may impose sanctions on Carlson due to his meeting with the Russian President. The interview will be broadcast on February 9 at 2:00 Moscow time.
