Artificial intelligence (AI) has been added to the forest fire monitoring system in the Moscow region. It is planned that it will recognize the nature of fires and this will not need to be done “by eye”, said Deputy Chairman of the Forestry Committee of the Moscow Region Evgeny Agulov to the 360 TV channel.
A four-level forest fire monitoring system is used in the Moscow region – ground patrol, aerial reconnaissance, video and space monitoring. Surveillance is carried out in mobile operator towers with 127 video systems covering 100% of the forest. Artificial intelligence will help them recognize the nature of the fire.
“For example, steam may be coming from a boiler room and the camera needs to identify that it is not smoke coming from the forest. This makes the life of the inspector and dispatcher easier,” Agulov explained. “With the help of data from AI cameras, we can create the optimal path, the “short leg” of delivery to the point.”
Dispatchers had to determine the nature of the smoke by eye, and now artificial intelligence will help them; experts expect this will make this process faster and easier.
Artificial intelligence makes it possible, among other things, to see the location of all fire-fighting forces and vehicles and quickly determine which of them is involved or not.
Let’s not forget that that year, the Ministry of Digital Development also plans to shoot Artificial intelligence for the operation of the State Services portal. We are talking about ChatGPT technology, which will help provide advice to citizens.
Russians before stated It’s about readiness to work under the guidance of artificial intelligence.
