Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed the decree on the creation of a separate branch for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles within the armed forces. The document was published on the president’s website.
The decree mentions the need to examine the issue of creating unmanned systems within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The relevant proposal will be submitted to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine for consideration.
Zelensky noted in his video message on his Telegram channel that drones have proven to be quite effective on the battlefield. According to him, special staff is now needed to work with drones. The Ukrainian leader drew attention to the need to increase the efficiency of education, systematize experience and scale production. He noted that it was necessary to attract the best specialists in this field.
