Icebreaker “Evpatiy Kolovrat” will become part of the Navy in the first half of 2024. This has been reported press service Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“The icebreaker is currently undergoing state testing at the naval testing grounds in Kamchatka,” the message said.
The icebreaker is planned to be a guide for warships and support ships of the Navy in the Arctic. Its mission is to increase the capabilities of warships in areas with difficult ice conditions. As soon as the ship was accepted into the Navy, St. Andrew’s flag will be raised.
