Egor Chernev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, said that mobilization of prisoners could be one of the means of replenishing the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by RIA News.

According to him, it should be understood that this should be a voluntary mobilization. There must be commanders who will agree to recruit convicts.

Chernev noted that there are commanders who are personally ready to recruit convicts into their units, and there are convicts who are ready to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Before this, it was known that Ukraine had “European Cooperation”. spoke against the new mobilization bill.

It was noted that many points of the bill raised questions among businessmen. They are asking the Ukrainian parliament not to accept the bill as it is currently presented.

Businessmen are concerned about the possibility of placing military registration and enlistment offices at the border for subpoena service, as well as remote service of subpoenas and prosecution for violations.
