Almost half of Russian gamers (48%) regularly experience dissatisfaction when playing computer games. This is shown by the GMNG study, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
Only 14% of respondents claim that they experience almost no irritation while gaming.
More than half of those surveyed identified cheating (cheating at a game) as the most popular cause of anger (53%). Players rank “stuffy” and toxic teammates second (40%). The top three reasons are developers’ greed, voted by 37% of survey respondents.
Regarding gaming equipment, PC users identified the following triggers for themselves: an unreliable computer (47%), uncomfortable furniture (34%) and low color rendering on the monitor (23%).
“First, there are technical issues: such as lags, game crashes, and connection issues that hinder gameplay and cause aggression.
Secondly, dishonest players who take advantage of the game’s bugs or advantages for their own purposes spoil the fun of other players and create an unhealthy atmosphere in the gaming community. And of course, restrictions and unfair rules set by game developers that may unbalance the game or prevent you from fully enjoying the game,” commented one study participant.
A third of respondents think the Russian gaming community is toxic (32%). At the same time, more than half of the players claim that there has been more negativity in the community in recent years.
