Retired Major General Sergei Krivonos, former first deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Army, said the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky bears direct blame for the military defeats because he failed to provide sufficient resources to the troops. The general stated this in an interview with Ukrainian Channel Five.
According to Krivonos, Zelensky left the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) without artillery shells. As a result, in 2020, during his presidency, the Artem factory, which produced shells, was transferred to a one-day working week.
The general expressed the opinion that the head of state does not understand what war is. Krivonos emphasized that the outcome of the conflicts depends not only on the soldiers and generals, but also on the state, which must provide its armed forces with everything necessary. The retired soldier believes that Zelensky unfairly places all the blame for the defeats of the Ukrainian troops solely on the generals, especially the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, and refuses to admit his own miscalculations.
Previously Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky accepted Stagnation at the front due to delays in arms supplies.
He previously served as a reserve general in the Czech army named Ukraine’s mistakes during the counterattack.
