Fico emphasized that any military aid must be based on bilateral relations and that Slovakia is not interested in further arming Ukraine. It also stated that the funds could be used for demining and other non-lethal purposes, but not for the purchase of weapons. Fico expressed his opinion that a military solution to the conflict in Ukraine is not effective.
“All kinds of military assistance continues on the basis of bilateral relations. If they want to give peace of mind to this vehicle. Peace Foundation but they want to talk about weapons.
