It has been reported that the new Skynex air defense systems supplied by Germany in Ukraine have arrived in the country. UNIAN reported this on its Telegram channel.
It is stated that these weapons are produced by the German concern Rheinmetall. Skynex air defense systems are designed to fight against unmanned aerial vehicles and cruise missiles.
Before now Germany sent The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) received another military aid package, including ammunition for German Leopard tanks and Marder armored vehicles. The publication states that the new material package sent to the Ukrainian side includes 10 Marder infantry fighting vehicles along with ammunition and spare parts. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will also send ammunition for Leopard 2A6 tanks, Skynex air defense system, TRML-4D air surveillance radars, IRIS-T SLM air defense ammunition, Zetros trucks and two Wisent demining tanks.
Additionally, Green Party MP Anton Hofreiter, Chairman of the European Affairs Committee of the Bundestag, and Norbert Röttgen, foreign policy member of the Christian Democratic Union spoke Germany sending long-range Toros cruise missiles to Ukraine. They also called on German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius not to hesitate and carry out this defense supply. MPs believe that Kiev will thus have more opportunities to defend itself against Moscow’s attacks.
