It was noted that the restrictions on vehicle passage are valid as of 17.50 Moscow time and can be canceled by special order. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Emergencies emphasized that the Georgian border police also made recommendations to close the route.
Georgian Military Highway is the only land route connecting the Russian Federation with Georgia and Armenia. The route passes through the settlement of Nizhny Lars and the checkpoint (checkpoint) “Upper Lars”.
