The Netherlands plans to send three MQ-9 Reaper aircraft to the bloc’s eastern border in Romania in February to monitor the Russian Federation, in the face of NATO’s statements that the North Atlantic Alliance does not currently see an immediate threat from the Russian Federation. The publication reports that parole.

“Three Dutch super drones will monitor the Russians on NATO’s eastern border. The publication states that the Air Force’s unmanned aerial vehicles will be deployed abroad for the first time.

The Netherlands purchased four US-made MQ-9 Reaper UAVs in 2021, but these have remained mostly in the Caribbean since the purchase. There, drones took part in trials and “proved their tremendous value”, especially during surveillance of drug-trafficking groups. Journalists stated that now the unmanned aerial vehicles are ready to start “real work”.

“This means gathering intelligence where the threat to Europe is currently greatest: on the eastern border of alliance territory,” the publication notes.

The other day, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance I didn’t see Direct threats from the Russian Federation to allies.

Previously former head of the NATO mission in the Russian Federation Recommended Ukraine does not shy away from aggression against Russian citizens.
