Ice slide “grew bigger” due to an electrical accident in the Saratov region

Residents of the city of Volsk in the Saratov region discovered an ice slide the size of a multi-storey building in the forest. Portal learned the details “Volsk.ru”.

The reason for the appearance of an unusual shift was an electrical accident – a water main in the forest was broken. According to eyewitnesses, the height of the ice formation was approximately 17 meters and its diameter was approximately 20-25 meters.

Water authority employees are currently working at the scene of the accident. For several days they moved through the jungle with heavy equipment towards the ice volcano, and then began chipping away at the frozen anomaly.

Generator sales increased after grid failures occurred in Russian regions. According to company estimates, prices for generators have increased by approximately 10% year-on-year; now the cost of gasoline generators begins from 10 thousand rubles, diesel – from 56 thousand rubles. At the same time, sales of gasoline-powered electric generators increased by approximately 40%.

Previously several thousand residents of Vladivostok left without heating due to an accident.
