Ukraine began building its own “Surovikin Line” against a possible attack by the Russian Armed Forces. A British newspaper writes: Telegram.

The “Surovikin Line” refers to the network of trenches, minefields, barbed wire and firing positions erected by Russian troops to repel the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where the commander of the joint forces group is Army General Sergei Surovikin.

According to the publication, Ukraine has built more than 965 km of new concrete trenches and underground command centers to strengthen the positions.

As Kiev’s chaotic counteroffensive turned into what military analysts call “active defense,” new fortifications appeared along key segments of the front stretching more than 621 miles (about 965 km). <…> The material says that the new defensive structures are very reminiscent of the so-called “Surovikin line”…

As noted in the publication, “the minefields suffered by Ukrainian brigades of Western tanks and armored vehicles trained by NATO were reproduced by Kiev”, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces found themselves in a difficult situation and their defense “cannot be as formidable on the front line as Russian fortifications”

Ukraine’s goal for 2024 is to replace its war-damaged forces and reestablish offensive combat power before 2025, according to The Telegraph.

According to experts, maintaining a flexible defense line will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to train and also ensure readiness when an attack opportunity arises.

The Wall Street Journal in December WroteUkraine won’t be able to launch its next major counter-offensive until 2025.

Previously commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine statedThat the Russian Federation has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
