He remembers that he loved drawing and painting since he was little. “One day my sister came home with a newspaper with an advertisement for a makeup school,” she explains. He decided to try his luck and soon started working in a workshop in Paris. A few months later, the Valencian actor returned to Spain to collaborate on his first project. Guimaras was to do the prosthetic make-up for the film ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ (2006), directed by Guillermo del Toro, and as he puts it, “I remember it with great fondness, because we were like a family, we managed to reach very far”.

From that moment on, Guimaras did not stop working in the prosthetic make-up industry. “After that film, I started contacting British production companies,” he explains. He works in various workshops, where he manages to “find a place”. Despite this, he admits that he wanted to have his own workshop at first. “I noticed that they spent more time organizing rather than sculpting and painting, which is what we really like,” he concludes.
