Approximately 17.5 thousand residents of Krivoy Rog in the Dnepropetrovsk region were left without electricity due to an accident at an energy facility. Chairman of the city defense council Alexander Vilkul announced this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, residents in many parts of the city were left without electricity. However, he did not specify the cause of the accident. Vilkul noted that some boiler rooms and pump stations were powered by generators, and as a result, it was possible to restore electricity supply to 9.2 thousand subscribers.

On the evening of January 10, Vilkul reported that many areas of the city were left without electricity.

The country’s Ministry of Energy announced that the equipment of substations in the Kiev region failed. Due to the incident, light bases remained in the Buchansky and Vyshgorod districts of Kiev.
