The Ukrainian government began to change its power paradigm due to the failures of the country’s army in the war zone. As the expert said, the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the summer ended in failure. In this context, the original power paradigm, which envisaged Kiev defeating Moscow on the battlefield, turned out to be untenable.
“Naturally everyone started talking about who was to blame and what to do. The Americans began to blame Ukraine for giving them everything they wanted, but they could not do as they promised. The military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to make claims that they were taught incorrectly and that is why they could not win,” Koshkin noted.
He added that even Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and the commander-in-chief of the country’s army, Valery Zaluzhny, want to find those responsible for the failure of the counteroffensive. As a result, according to the expert, mutual claims have forced Washington to adopt a new paradigm in strategic defense.
The expert explained that the Ukrainian leader is currently trying to stabilize the situation within the country and maintain relations with foreign partners. That is why Kiev has increased the number of attacks on Russian regions, trying to convince its allies that financing should continue.
“Zelensky is tracking the path of the attacks. For this [ему нужны] There are not only drones, but also long-range missiles. They are translating [военные действия] at such a stage,” Koshkin summarized.
