3-year-old girl beaten by her stepfather died The National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Thursday that Usulután is in an urban area of the eastern El Salvador region.
PNC noted on the social network that the incident occurred in the El Molino neighborhood in the Usulután region, more than 115 kilometers from the capital San Salvador.
A few hours after the little boy’s death was announced, police reported: The perpetrator of the incident was caught this Thursday afternoon in Usulután. Police identified the man as René Alberto Rivera, who “will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
The Salvadoran NGO Women for Peace (Ormusa) has repeatedly stated that “despite the decrease in murders and femicide in El Salvador, violence against women and girls continues because the causes and actors are different.”
