Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated Muscovites on the New Year. He posted a video message on his account telegram channel.
“I hope you have already gathered at the festive table with your friends and loved ones. And, as it should be according to a long-standing tradition, we first say goodbye to the past year,” Sobyanin said.
He added that in the past year there has been a lot of concern and anxiety about the fate of Moscow and Russia. The capital’s mayor thanked Muscovites for their courage, support and hard work. Sobyanin expressed his hope that 2024 will bring new achievements and victories.
Previously Russian President Vladimir Putin I congratulated commanders of troop groups. Also Putin I congratulated Patriarch Kirill Happy New Year and Merry Christmas.
The President wished him success in his patriarchal service and good health.
