Cristina Pedroche faces new bells tonight on Antena 3. The Communicator made its debut at the Campanadas de laSexta with Frank Blanco a decade ago and has since become an event held on the last night of the year.
Cristina Pedroche lives from Puerta del Sol accompanied by Alberto Chicote The ninth Chimes on Antena 3 In a very special year marked by the birth of her daughter Laia and her return as a presenter with ‘Password’. We were able to talk about this issue with the hero of the most important night of the year.
These are your tenth bells in Atresmedia. Are there more or fewer prints than the first editions?
I don’t experience the bells with pressure, I experience them with enthusiasm and more and more every year. This is the most special night of the year and I want everything to go well so that the audience can enjoy it too.
I imagine this year will be one of the most special bells and whistles because of everything that has happened to you this year.
Every year is so special, there is always something to celebrate. Logically, motherhood makes me realize the difference between important things and urgent things, which is why I’m particularly prioritizing my mental health this year.
One of the most anticipated moments of the year is always when you show off the dress a few seconds before the Bells. In fact, it is already a tradition that made Antena 3 the leader last year. How do you live this tradition?
With so much nerve to make everything go perfectly. Because it’s always months of work, and in those seconds I need everything to be under control, everything to be in its place, so that the designer who helped me create the amazing dress feels so proud.
What was the outfit preparation like for this special event this year?
This year has been one of the most difficult years of balancing everyone’s agenda, but I think it has been the most special. I loved seeing my daughter at the exams and even if she doesn’t remember, I will.
What’s the trick you and Josie always have to surprise with your outfit choice?
There’s no cheating, we’re throwing away everything we’ve done in other years and trying to reinvent ourselves. It’s so hard every year, but Josie is an open book, she’s the person who knows fashion best in the world and it’s a real pleasure to work with her.
This year Josie premiered at Neox. Did you give him any advice?
Josie doesn’t need advice, she’s the best. He will know how to give it his all and have a lot of fun, which will ensure that the audience has a great time.
We saw you in the Camela special program broadcast by TVE. Would you like to ring the bells with them for a year?
He would not only give Camela grapes, he would do anything with them. They are part of my family.
Will David and Laia join you at the end of the bells?
Motherhood has taught me to put his well-being first, and although I selfishly want him by my side at Puerta del Sol, I think he’ll be better when he’s warm at home next to my mother.
