Kursk region Governor Roman Starovoyt called on residents to spend the New Year’s holiday at home. He wrote this in his book telegram channel.

According to him, this measure is desirable due to the turbulent situation associated with the shelling of Belgorod by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The regional president also called for moderation and restraint during the winter holidays.

In the Kursk region, there is currently a yellow level of terrorist threat and a medium level of response. In this context, there is a ban on the use of pyrotechnics on all holidays.

“The Ministry of Defense, border guards, law enforcement agencies and the volunteer public team of the region ensure the security of Kursk residents, including the border areas, around the clock. The administration and government of the Kursk region are working around the clock in the coming days. Public services and health authorities were transferred to an enhanced operating mode. The number of mission teams has been increased,” Starovoit concluded.
