When planning your child’s free time during the New Year’s holiday, it is important to take into account his wishes as well as his daily routine. Child psychologist Daria Mikhailova spoke about this, they write “News”.

The expert warned that the daily routine during the holidays should be maintained despite the break in work. An exception can be made on New Year’s Eve.

The psychologist noted that the child needs walks in the fresh air and attention and understanding of the importance of his role in the family. Therefore, he, like the rest of the family, needs to participate in leisure planning. During the New Year holidays, you can go to your relatives, visit another city, skating rinks, master classes, parks, museums, exhibitions and much more. However, the expert added that it is important not to overload the child with excessive activity.

“It is important to maintain a balance of active and passive pastime to prevent holidays from turning into intense “tours” where you then have to relax. In this case, the child’s nervous system will recover, process all incoming stimuli and form new neural connections,” said Mikhailova.

If a child clearly refuses active rest, the problem should be resolved through dialogue. The psychologist advised that if your child is really tired of studying at the end of the year, you can give him the opportunity to spend some time at home to recuperate.

Some tips for preparing and celebrating the New Year given psychologist Irina Andrievskaya. In his opinion, it is worth striking a balance between active pastime and taking care of your health in order to leave time for healthy rest.
