Russian officials blamed Kiev for the latest wave of “unprecedented” attacks carried out by the Russian army against different regions of Ukraine this Friday. at least 22 dead and about 130 injuredAccording to the latest balance sheet provided by Ukrainian authorities.
Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya argued this Friday at the emergency meeting of the organization’s Security Council in New York that the main problem is: Installation of air defense systems in residential areas by Ukraine. “If the Ukrainian air defense systems had not worked, there would have been no casualties among the civilian population,” Nebenzya said.
They described the night attack from Kiev as follows: worst aerial bombardment since the beginning of the war. Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeri Zaluzhni announced that Russian forces launched 158 projectiles, including different types of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. However, he underlined that they managed to neutralize 87 cruise missiles and 27 UAVs.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described this attack as a “terrorist act” in his speech on Friday evening. The chain of attacks resulted in deaths in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, Lviv and Kiev. At least nine people died in the capital alone.
