At least 1 person died and 4 people were injured As a result of the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Belgorod (Russia), local officials reported.
“Our air defense system took action over Belgorod (…); many air targets were shot down on the approach to the city,” regional governor Viacheslav Gladkov said in a Telegram message. According to the regional leader Interfax on the same platform, “One man died as a result of one of the bullets hitting a private residential building directly. Four people were injured.”
The attack on the site occurred around 23:00 local time on Friday, and according to the governor’s statement, the victims included a 10-year-old boy in “fair” condition. The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously reported that Russian air defense systems shot down a total of 13 Ukrainian rockets in the region this Friday.
Gladkov explained that in addition to human damage, two cars and ten private houses were also affected to varying degrees, and there was also damage to the water supply systems of the city of Belgorod.
