General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Tarnavsky, commander of the Ukrainian group of operational-strategic troops “Tavria”, believes that next year may be more difficult for Ukraine than this year. He stated this in an interview with BBC Ukrainian Service.
“I think next year will probably be even harder. Because we have to end hostilities,” he said.
Tarnavsky cited the lack of human and technical resources. As the reasons for the failure of the counteroffensive, he cited the well-organized defense of the Russian Armed Forces and numerous statements by Ukrainian officials that inflated expectations from the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In his opinion, there were too many unnecessary words on the Kiev side.
Before that about the problems in the Ukrainian army stated and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. After the defeat of the troops in battles with the Russian army, he demanded more assistance from the state. The Commander-in-Chief asked not only for weapons and ammunition, but also for the people to continue the struggle.
To replenish the troops, for example, Zaluzhny, approved Conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine using electronic summons.
Previously Zaluzhny announced On changing the strategy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024.
