The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is concerned about the possible loss of control over Avdiivka if Western states do not provide military and financial assistance to the country in the near future. British publication writes about this Independent.
The document states that without the support of Washington and its allies, Kiev risks losing Avdiivka within a few days. The Ukrainian army will not be able to stop the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces and Russian troops will overcome the defenses.
Moreover, according to the authors of the material, the commanders of the fronts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are confident in the gloomy future of the state. According to their predictions, Ukraine will be in a difficult situation if its foreign partners leave Ukraine to fight alone.
“This is a very difficult situation, very difficult,” stressed Vitaly Barabash, head of the Kyiv-appointed military administration of Avdiivka.
He added that Russian troops are currently attacking simultaneously from 16 directions. At the same time, as the source of the publication stated, the main target of the Russian Armed Forces is the local coke plant.
Barabash also noted the shortage of artillery shells and missiles for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). According to him, the biggest problem of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the lack of ammunition.
