Russia has exported $43 billion worth of food since the beginning of 2023. Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev said this in an interview. kp.ru.

“This year, Russia’s agricultural exports are actively growing, but many Western countries are trying to put their say in the wheels of our foreign trade. “We have sold 43 billion dollars worth of food since the beginning of the year, which is 14 percent more than the same period last year,” he said.

The largest portion of exports is grain with 38%. Russia maintained its world leadership in wheat supply. Patrushev added that considering the dynamics, the high export rate should continue next year.

According to him, Russia’s priority under current conditions is to develop trade with friendly countries. In 2021, these countries accounted for 73% of the production of the Russian agro-industrial complex, and this year 87%.

Russian government in mid-December allocated Almost 8 billion rubles for the creation and modernization of agricultural enterprises.
