The most popular wish for happiness for the new year among social network users was mentioned in more than 16% of messages. This is shown by a study by Pro-Vision Communications, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
13% of congratulations also wish good health. This is partly explained by the popular phrase with which typical congratulations begin: “I wish you happiness, health and…”. The wish for peace, which was included in almost 12 percent of the messages, came to the top of the rankings for the first time, unlike the classical leaders. Right after peace comes goodness. At the same time, the rarest wishes were those related to sports success, excellent friends and bright impressions.
Compared to last year, the ranking revealed multifaceted dynamics that well illustrate the change in public priorities. Thus, the world grew by 6.8 points compared to last year, and goodness and happiness grew by 1.9 and 1.2 points, respectively. Health, which was the leader in the rankings last year, continued to remain in the top 3 even though its position weakened (especially compared to the pandemic period). But money and success faded into the background. Moreover, the coin was at the bottom of the top ten rankings and was in danger of completely disappearing from the top.
Most of the congratulations were distributed on social networks from users in Perm and the Perm region (6.7% of the total number of messages). Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region and Moscow are no less active (about 6%). Also in the top ten are St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Kurgan region, Udmurtia, Altai Region, Samara and Novosibirsk regions.
Local spatial specificity is also expressed in the context of regions. So, if in Central Russia, and especially in Moscow, wishes often contain expressions of material well-being, achievements and financial success, then the Siberian regions speak of warmth, comfort and victories. In the northwest and especially in St. The expressions “magic” and “fairy-tale atmosphere” are used more often in St. Petersburg than elsewhere. In the Caucasian regions, very earthly family warmth and peace prevail in congratulations. In the south of Russia they like to wish bright holidays and wonderful surprises, and in the Volga region health, happiness and success in all endeavors are in the foreground. With their wishes, Ural residents remember the opportunity to celebrate the holiday with their families and loved ones. In the Far East, messages contain wishes for peace and the realization of desires.
