Psychiatrist Ruslan Isaev said that the analogy that Russians draw between drinking champagne and celebrating the New Year creates a pattern at the psychological level that the use of champagne does not cause addiction. The radio reports this Sputnik.
“Champagne carries a certain image; status, supreme. The person tries to push away the image of addiction. Psychological stereotypes play a role here. As for the chemical properties of the drink, addiction is not caused by gas bubbles in champagne,” Isaev said.
According to the expert, champagne is harmful due to the total amount of ethanol, which leads to the accumulation of total alcohol concentration “over a certain period of time”.
Previously nutritionist Elena Solomatina statedsays that the most dangerous alcoholic drink is absinthe, because it contains a lot of alcohol and absinthe, which can have a strong negative effect on human health. According to him, this drink instantly destroys the liver and kidneys. In addition, the toxic substances in the drink mix with the bloodstream and negatively affect the human heart and brain.
