Alexander Kozlov, head of Russia’s Ministry of Nature, said the Russian government is discussing the creation of a national project to improve the health of water bodies and clean rivers. This was reported by RIA News.
According to him, more than 111 million people live near Russian rivers, which indicates the importance of navigation issues, as well as the construction of treatment plants.
“We discussed two important issues; First of all, our country needs a national project on water. The president’s message was about this topic, he mentioned it several times, and the government has already taken up this work: during the year we tried to collect all the problems related to this topic – cleaning of rivers. “The possibility of environmental recovery,” Kozlov said.
