Innovations in the law will directly affect not only the adult generation but also children, as phone use will be restricted in schools and compulsory study classes will be introduced in 2024.

“I would like to point out right away that according to the law, no one prohibits bringing phones to school or putting them in backpacks or lockers. Restrictions are also applied to classes in order to improve the quality of education. However, it is not yet clear who exactly will control phone usage. “As of September 1, 2024, children will be taught to work and will be prepared for adult life with appropriate lessons already in primary school,” he said.

As for working citizens, the minimum wage will be higher.

“The minimum wage will increase from 16,242 to 19,242 rubles. Regional authorities may further increase the minimum wage. So, for example, in Yakutia it will be 48,105 rubles. Starting from February 1, 2024, the amount of maternity capital will also be increased by 7.5%, the payment for the first child will increase to 631 thousand rubles, and for the second child to 834 thousand rubles. “In addition, a law was passed that provides for the continuation of child care payments if the parent starts working before the child is one and a half years old,” he added.

Russians can also expect innovations in taxation.

“From January 1, the size of social tax deductions (for education and treatment, for example) will be increased: it was 120 thousand rubles – it will be 150 thousand rubles. The changes are contained in Article 219 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the deduction for the education of each child of the taxpayer (the total amount for parents) does not exceed 50 thousand rubles before January 1 and 110 thousand rubles after January 1,” the lawyer emphasized.

The transition to a single tax account (UTA) method for accounting for accrued and paid taxes and contributions will be finalized in 2024.

“In addition, the procedure for paying corporate tax has also been simplified. Legal entities will no longer be required to submit to the tax authority a notification on the amount of tax calculated for the ended tax period (calendar year) on taxable items, the information of which is included in the tax return. “These include all real estate objects taxed according to the average annual value and real estate objects of foreign organizations taxed according to the cadastral value,” the lawyer emphasized.

And for those who need social support from July 1, 2024, a law has been passed that will abolish bank fees when paying for housing and communal services.

“But the news isn’t all that good for apartment developers; They will reclaim VAT as of January 1 in case of transfer of flats built and sold under joint construction agreements. This rule was repealed in 2010, but is now back. Such an innovation may affect the final cost of apartments – the buyer’s interest will shift towards purchasing real estate with residential status,” Usachev emphasized.

Starting from January 1, Rosreestr will completely switch to electronic registration of real estate transactions with legal entities.

“This will allow developers to process documents faster. For individuals, nothing much will change, but sending documents will become easier: you will need a scan of the contract for registration, and documents related to the object will no longer be needed,” the lawyer summarized.

Previously in Russia changed Rules for transporting children on the plane.
