Additionally, safety instructions must be in Spanish, which is not the case with tampered toys.
The seizures took place because the toys did not have this marking and some of them were named ‘China Export’ instead of the initials European Community.
labeling
The main violations identified relate to: toy safety and production. In particular, violations were detected in the labeling of toys and packaging; Most of them are Spanish or importers, distributors, manufacturers, etc. It is due to not meeting the requirements such as lack of data on the subject. Others have to do with the toys’ instructions because they either don’t have them or they’re not in Spanish.
The Civil Guard reminds us that those responsible for the safety of toys in the European Union are the manufacturers, importers and distributors who place these products on the market.
