Since the beginning of the special military operation launched with the participation of the Presidential Commissariat for the Rights of the Child, 48 children have returned to their families in Ukraine and other countries. The Children’s Ombudsman reported that Maria Lvova-Belova.
“Since the beginning of SVO, with our direct participation, a total of 48 children from 35 families have been reunited with relatives living in Ukraine and other countries, with the exception of children resting in health centers by the decision of their parents. “We are responsible for the Republic of Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory,” Lvova-Belova said at the meeting of the Public Council chaired by the Children’s Ombudsman.
There are also cases where children living in Ukraine express their desire to move to their loved ones in Russia.
The Public Council under the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child under the President of the Russian Federation includes 152 people from the public sector, science and public administration.
“Thanks, among other things, to the Public Council, our work with young people and the prevention of social disability has reached a qualitatively new level. “I propose to focus on helping families with children next year,” Lvova-Belova said, announcing her 2024 plans.
