The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed on its Telegram channel that a listening device was found in one of the buildings that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny could use for work.

“The Security Service of Ukraine has initiated criminal proceedings regarding the discovery of a technical device at one of the potential locations of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny,” the message said.

It was noted that the case was filed within the scope of the article “unlawful acquisition, sale or use of special technical means of obtaining information”.

The SBU also emphasized that the device was not located in the commander-in-chief’s office, but in one of the rooms that he could use for work in the future. The ministry also reported that the discovered device did not work without a means of storing information or remotely transmitting voice recordings. The technical device was sent for review.

According to Ukrayinska Pravda newspaper, citing sources, listening devices were found not only on the commander-in-chief of Ukrainian troops, Valery Zaluzhny, but also on his employees.
