A court in the Transcarpathian region detained Keretskovsky village council deputy Sergei Batrin, who threw three grenades during a meeting of the village council. This was reported by TASS.
“A preventive measure in the form of detention without the possibility of release on bail has been chosen in relation to a 54-year-old Ukrainian citizen, the current deputy of the Keretskovsky village council,” the message says.
Previously in the hospital I came to my senses Sergei Batrin, deputy of the Keretskovsky village council in Ukraine’s Transcarpathian region, detonated three military grenades during a meeting the day before.
On December 15, village council member of Keretski village Sergei Batrin reportedly argued with his colleagues, left the meeting, returned with three grenades and blew up the bombs. At least 26 people were injured, 6 of them were in serious condition and 1 could not be saved. Batrin was injured and taken to the hospital.
On the same day, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) classified the incident as a terrorist attack and opened a criminal case.
