Members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) cannot find a way to combat Russian glide bombs. This was stated to the Ukrainian television channel “Direct” by SBU Colonel Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada.
“We have no means to prevent the use of these bombs,” he complained.
Kostenko explained that the weight of the ammunition is usually between 500 kilograms and 3 tons, and these cannot be reached. He drew attention to the mass production of Russian glider ammunition. According to the SBU colonel, Russia is able to produce weapons in large quantities due to large stocks of Soviet KAB aerial bombs, from which glide weapons are created.
