The Solidarity Companies project is celebrating its 14th anniversary and once again sets a new record in participation and fundraising. This year, a total of 122 companies and organizations joined the initiative to help people at risk of exclusion in the province of Alicante (compared to 116 organizations that participated last year).

The importance of this edition lies in once again exceeding the financial and in-kind donations from the participants. In 2023, the total figure will reach 167,000 Euros, and thus 1,800 Christmas packages will be distributed to 62 social organizations working in different cities to be distributed to families in need. This year the cost of the batch is higher than other editions, not only due to the overall increase in product prices, but also due to the inclusion of more products.

Solidarity Companies held its annual meeting this morning, bringing together some donor companies and aid recipient organisations. The event, with the participation of nearly a hundred people, was held at IMED Hospital in Elche, where the results of this edition were announced.

Juan Manuel Candela Moreno, director of IMED Elche, was in charge of welcoming the participants. Then, the presentation of the results of the project was made by SEUR Corporate Relations, CSR and Logistics Business Development Director Maite Rubio Gómez. A total of 62 organizations are receiving these awards in the towns of Alicante, Elche, Ibi, Pedreguer, Orihuela, Guardamar and, for the first time, Santa Pola.

Solidarity Companies is a project formed by different companies that decided to come together in 2010 in order to provide solidarity contributions to families in difficult situations in different municipalities with the arrival of the Christmas holiday.
