They plan to mobilize women to serve in the rear units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Ukraine. Verkhovna Rada deputy Maryana Bezuglaya spoke about this, the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua reported on its Telegram channel.
“For combat positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – only optionally, but signalmen, financiers, lawyers, personnel officers, cooks, etc. – not only doctors – are needed,” Bezuglaya said.
Women will also continue to have a “unique right to postponement and dismissal” due to pregnancy.
The deputy announced that the relevant bill is planned to be registered in the Rada within two weeks.
Early on December 14, deputy Bezuglaya said that one of the million soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine only a third are fighting. According to him, the Ukrainian army overstaffs rear units, which prevents the demobilization and rotation of military personnel to the front line.
