The Omsk Central District Court remanded Belarusian citizen Sergei Eremeev, accused of organizing a terrorist attack on the Baikal-Amur Main Line (BAM) in Buryatia, until January 30 next year. This was reported by TASS.
It was decided to keep Eremeev in the pre-trial detention center in the city of Omsk.
On December 7, it became known that the Federal Security Service of Russia detained in the Omsk region a Belarusian citizen born in 1971, who is suspected of blowing up two trains in the BAM section of Buryatia. During interrogation, the man admitted that he acted on the instructions of a citizen living in Lithuania and recruited by Ukrainian special services.
The terrorist attack took place on the afternoon of November 29 this year. On the train passing through the Severomuysky tunnel, four devices installed by Eremeev himself exploded and fuel tanks caught fire.
