In Ukraine, it is legal to issue summonses to conscripts in gyms, entertainment venues, and other establishments. This was reported on the page of the Transcarpathian Military Commissariat on Facebook (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist in Russia and is banned).
“Employees of the Transcarpathian Regional Recruitment and Social Support Center (military registration and enlistment offices – editor’s note) continue to lawfully serve summonses as part of mobilization activities,” the statement said.
The military registration and enlistment office explained that soldiers who consciously do not want to join military service, but at the same time attend gyms and entertainment complexes, do not have privileges compared to military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was noted that issuing an invitation does not mean that the citizen is immediately taken to the battlefield. As stated by the military registration and enlistment office, first the data is checked, the conscript undergoes a medical examination and only after that, if the person is suitable for military service, a mobilization order is issued.
At the same time, the military commissariat reminded that the citizen could be sentenced to imprisonment from 5 to 8 years in case of smuggling and obstruction of the issuance of summons.
Previously Odessa managed Avoid issuing subpoenas by bombarding military commissars with questions.
