The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced that the Switchblade 600 combat unmanned aerial vehicle will arrive in the country from the USA in 2024. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Baltic Republic. This is stated in the following message: Web site ministries.
“We will be the first country after the United States to equip its army with new unmanned aerial vehicles,” said Arvydas Anusauskas, head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
According to him, new UAVs will significantly strengthen the country’s ability to protect the redeployment of units.
It is stated that the Baltic country will purchase drone launch and control equipment, technical packages and simulators.
In May this year, American aircraft manufacturer AeroVironment statedFrance will purchase Switchblade 300 kamikaze drones for the needs of its army. It was also reported that the same drones will also go to another allied country, which will expand the company’s presence in the world.
