Information that a plane carrying a passenger showing symptoms of “infectious dengue fever” landed at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport is not true. This has been reported telegram channel Moscow Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor).
The statement stated that some media organizations had previously spread information about a plane coming to the city from Sri Lanka. According to journalists, it was claimed that there was a passenger on the plane with symptoms of a dangerous disease.
But, as representatives of Rospotrebnadzor said, doctors did not detect Dengue fever or any other infection in the particularly dangerous category in the man. According to the test results, influenza virus was detected in the passenger.
“Healthcare professionals prescribed the necessary treatment and the patient was under medical observation,” the publication explains.
At the same time, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor urged other passengers of the flight in question to seek medical assistance and undergo all necessary tests. People are advised to avoid self-medication and notify doctors flying from Sri Lanka to Moscow if symptoms develop.
