Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Mikhail Razvozhaev announced the start of evacuation due to the beginning of flooding in residential buildings. He wrote this in his book telegram channel.
According to the official, all those affected by the disaster were instructed to be accommodated in the local hostel “Lazur”.
“The situation is this: the Belbek River overflowed its banks due to the surge wave, which prevented it from throwing water into the sea. Flooding began in residential buildings. Razvozhaev said that the Sevastopol rescue service evacuated 10 people, including 2 children (3 and 9 years old) from the village of Lyubimovka.
He stated that 5 people will stay in the hostel and the rest will be taken by their relatives.
Four people were evacuated from flooded houses along Kachinskoye Highway. Residential buildings in the military camp near the Chersonesos lighthouse are also being evacuated. The governor added that people will be placed in a temporary accommodation center organized at the cultural center.
