Greek Minister of Defense regrets that the list of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine got into the network

Greek Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos expressed his regret at the leak of the contents of the military aid to Ukraine. The newspaper reports Kathimerini.

According to the publication, Panagiotopoulos described the information system of the Greek armed forces as “full of holes as Swiss cheese”.

“We do not give such information through open channels. Such information cannot be easily made public,” he said.

Greek Internet portal Pronews reportedthat the country’s government has transferred or is about to transfer an “incredible” amount of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.

The list includes ammunition for machine guns, 15 thousand 73 mm rockets, 2100 rockets (122 mm), 20 thousand AK-47 assault rifles, 3.2 million rounds of 7.62 mm caliber, 60 FIM-92 and 122 armored infantry vehicles BMP-1 . Stinger MANPADS, 17,000 artillery rockets (155 mm) and 1,100 anti-tank RPG-18s.

The transport includes six Greek C-130s, 10 Canadian and five New Zealand aircraft.

The BMP-1 will be transported by Greek and allied ships to the port of Alexandroupoli (northeast of Greece).

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz promised to deliver German infantry fighting vehicles were transferred to Ukraine by Greece to replace Soviet-style weapons.
