As Altabayeva says, the committee insists on updating the list of textbooks in the humanities, “filling their content with vivid, emotional figurative examples of true service to the fatherland, with courage and heroism in defense of the fatherland.”
According to him, the current situation requires a special attitude to the quality of teaching and content of textbooks of history, social sciences, Russian language and literature, and today “this is one of the components of the national security of the country.”
The Senator noted that the committee has already addressed the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on this issue, but their response did not satisfy the representatives of the committee, and therefore they considered it necessary to involve the RIO in this matter.
He also added that the committee plans to advise the Ministry of Education to develop a training program to study the history of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
