Power outages were recorded in Ukraine. The national energy company Ukrenergo reported this on its Telegram channel.

The organization explained that this was also due to increased consumption. Ukrenergo noted that a power outage is expected throughout the day.

“Increased consumption due to cold weather has caused additional load on power plants,” the release says.

The organization claims that some power units are still being restored, the restored units cannot handle such a load.

“Ukrenergo dispatch center is looking for opportunities to close the gap,” the company said.

According to Ukrenergo, 427 settlements in Ukraine were left without electricity.

Before that, Vladimir Kudrytsky, head of the energy company Ukrenergo, said that the total debt in the Ukrainian electricity market reaches 60 billion hryvnia (over $1.6 billion).
