The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has launched a rocket believed to be its first reconnaissance satellite. This was reported by TASS Referring to the Japanese Coast Guard.

It was noted that the J-Alert warning system was activated in Japan. Residents in the southern prefecture of Okinawa were asked to take shelter in buildings, basements or subways in case debris from a North Korean missile fell.
