“For Mother’s Day, we have prepared a big program to recharge Moscow mothers with positive emotions, remind them of the importance of taking care of themselves and help their loved ones express the gratitude that they sometimes forget to show,” said Anastasia Rakova. .

Important holiday events will be held within the scope of the “Lessons of Moscow Mothers” program. On Sunday, November 26, 12 free open lectures on health, style, beauty, personal space, career, the joys and challenges of motherhood and raising children will be held in four popular venues in the capital.

On the eve of the holiday, from November 20 to 23, free lectures on “Five taboos in communicating with a teenager: how to maintain a child’s trust” will be held in all Moscow schools and colleges. Here, mothers will be able to receive individual counseling from school psychologists and specialists at the psychological and pedagogical center of the city.

From November 20 to 26, the “Mother’s Week” program will be held at family centers in Moscow. Thematic days, flash mobs, concerts, trainings and master classes for women and their children are held here.

Also on Mother’s Day, a photo exhibition will open at VDNKh, featuring photographs of 20th-century Moscow mothers from the collections of the Moscow Main Archive.

Also in schools and colleges of the city, volunteers of the All-Russian public-state children’s and youth movement “Movement of Firsts” will distribute to children one million “mamentinki” – small greeting cards for mothers. All visitors to the My Documents offices between November 24-26 will be able to sign an original designed postcard and send it to their mother.

Let us remind you that Mother’s Day in Russia is celebrated every year on the last Sunday of November. In 2023, this day falls on November 26.
